This isn’t technically a Yahtzee but it should qualify as one. Kentucky junior Josh Allen announced that he will be returning to Kentucky for his senior season. Allen made the announcement via his Twitter account.

Allen was considered to be a possible first-round draft pick in the upcoming NFL draft but has elected to return to Kentucky to improve his draft stock after a final year.

“Coming back for another year will be the best way for me to grow physically and mentally and prepare for my ultimate goal of playing in the NFL,” Allen wrote in a note posted to Twitter. “This coming year will be special for the University of Kentucky football team because we have a plan, not only to win the East but to win the SEC! Let’s finish what we started.”

Allen started 2017 strong, recording 6.5 sacks. However, a slow second half, where he only recorded half a sack, may have changed his mind about making the leap to the NFL. Allen’s 7 sacks led the Wildcats and ranked 8th in the SEC. Additionally, he ranked fourth on the team in total tackles with 65.

I’m not a betting man but I guarantee Mark Stoops has a smile on his face right now.
