Josh Allen is Ready for Football Season
Kentucky senior outside linebacker Josh Allen would have heard his name called in this years NFL draft. However, he decided to return to school for a final run at Kentucky.
As a junior, Allen finished tied for eighth in the SEC with seven sacks, but those were collected in the first eight games of the season. After a strong start to the season, buzz was that he worked his way into a first round pick. Regardless, he will certainly hear his name called in the first round next spring.

The biggest change you will notice when you see Allen is how much bigger he is. Listed at 6-foot-5, 230-pounds last fall, he was up to 252-pounds by spring practice.
Last month, Kentucky’s streak of NFL drafts without a selection extended to two. That will change when the 2019 NFL draft rolls around. ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. listed Allen No. 1 at his position in the way-too-early 2019 position rankings. Additionally, C.J. Conrad is listed as the No. 1 tight end.
Before Allen reaches the NFL draft, he has some business to take care of in the SEC. The UK linebacker had a question for fans on Twitter Sunday afternoon.
