Kentucky linebacker Josh Allen is a different animal this season for the 13th ranked Wildcats.
The senior leader and future first round draft pick has fueled the unblemished Wildcats to a 5-0 start, including a 3-0 record in SEC play. On Monday, Allen was named the SEC Defensive Player of the Week.
Allen placed his stamp on the Wildcats 24-10 win vs. South Carolina, recording eight tackles, four tackles for loss, 3 sacks, a quarterback hurry, and a forced fumble.
The honor is Allen’s third in five weeks and second consecutive after picking up the award following a win vs. Mississippi State.
