John Calipari and Tony Barbee Watched Team USA Cruise Past Panama

Team USA cruised to a win vs. Panama in the second game of the U18 FIBA Championships Monday night in Canada.

The United States built a 43-0 lead at the end of the first quarter and coasted to a 118-26 victory. UK commit Tyrese Maxey had another solid game, finishing with 14 points, 3 assists, and three steals.

Kentucky coach John Calipari and assistant coach Tony Barbee made the trip to watch Maxey, as well as UK target Matthew Hurt. Possible UK target Cole Anthony also plays for the United States.

Barbee was the only coach in attendance for Sunday nights opening round win, but Calipari made sure to be in attendance on Monday. While Kentucky has Maxey on board for 2019, Calipari is heavily pursuing Hurt. Kentucky could also fall in love with a couple of Maxey’s USA teammates.
