John Calipari provided updates on Ashton Hagans and Nick Richards, who both suffered injuries late in Tuesday’s 79-76 win at LSU.
Hagans left the game with a left thigh contusion and never returned to the game. Richards turned an ankle but was able to finish the game.
During the UK Healthcare John Calipari Show, the UK coach said both are day-to-day.
“They’re probably both day-to-day,” Calipari said. “He (Richards) stepped on that ball and turned it pretty bad. It would be tough walking in with six guys but you do what you gotta do, next man up.”
It should be noted that Kyle Tucker of The Athletic heard late last night that Hagans is fine and likely won’t miss any time.
Richards was able to finish the game which is a good sign. Hopefully, he will be able to go vs. Florida.
Kentucky faces Florida on Saturday at Rupp Arena. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. ET. on ESPN.
