John Calipari Shoots Down UCLA Rumor; Plans to Retire at UK

With the Wildcats set to open the NCAA Tournament against Abilene Christian, the main topics have been about PJ Washington’s injury and a rumored coaching offer for John Calipari from UCLA.

Calipari said on Wednesday he expects Washington to play in tomorrow’s opener and before going to bed, he shot down any rumors of him leaving Kentucky for UCLA

Before I go to bed, let me just say this: I’m coaching at the Univ. of Kentucky. In my opinion, there is no better job in the world to coach basketball. My plan and my desire is to retire at Kentucky. I think the university feels the same as I do and we’ve talked openly about it.
