Immanuel Quickley has been hitting big shots all season for Kentucky, especially in the final minutes of games.
Pick any game this season and I guarantee you can recall a moment Quickley hit a dagger three or basket Kentucky desperately needed in the final minutes of games.
The UK sophomore delivered again in Tuesday’s 78-64 win vs. Vanderbilt. The 6-foot-3 guard hit back-to-back three-point attempts to extend Kentucky’s five point lead to eleven with 3:01 to play in the game.
After the game, John Calipari referred to Quickley as “Big Balls” for hitting the two shots late in the game. I didn’t expect that when UK posted video from the locker room after the win, but it looks like we now have a nickname for Quickley. Immanuel “Big Balls” Quickley.
