John Calipari is Ready to Chase Something Special with PJ Washington
Kentucky freshman forward P.J. Washington announced that he is returning to Kentucky for a sophomore season. He made the announcement in a video he posted to his social media accounts.
Washington was the first UK player to declare for the draft, but he did so without hiring an agent to leave the door open for a return to Kentucky. His decision to return puts Kentucky in the running for a ninth NCAA championship.

During his freshman season, Washington averaged 10.8 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. He started 30 of 37 games for Kentucky and he will be depended upon for leadership next season.
The 6-foot-7 forward gave the BBN the best news on Wednesday and even though Wenyen Gabriel announced he is staying in the draft, the feeling is positive throughout the fanbase. Kentucky will be loaded next season, even if Jarred Vanderbilt doesn’t return.
