John Calipari Congratulates Charles Matthews on Final Four Appearance

One thing you can never say about John Calipari is that he doesn’t care about the players he brings to Kentucky and even though things didn’t work out with Kentucky and Charles Matthews, the UK head coach is still proud of him.

Calipari took to Twitter Sunday evening to congratulate the former UK guard on his Final Four appearance. The Kentucky basketball Twitter account followed that with a congratulatory message of their own.

Very happy for @1CMatthews for being named the West Region’s most outstanding player and making the Final Four. A terrific player and a great young man.
