Joel Justus Believes Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is the Best Point Guard in the Draft

With the NBA Draft lottery now set, the next thing to look forward to is the NBA Draft on June 21st.

Former Wildcats De’Aaron Fox and Jamal Murray represented the Sacramento Kings and Denver Nuggets at Tuesday nights lottery in Chicago. The Kings will pick 2nd and the Nuggets 14th. It’s unlikely that a Kentucky player is selected at No. 2, but a couple could be around by No. 14.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Kevin Knox, and Hamidou Diallo are locked into the draft. SGA and Knox will hear their named called in the lottery while Diallo will likely be a second round pick.

When it comes to point guards, Kentucky assistant coach Joel Justus knows who he would select. He tweeted that ESPN is sleeping on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and that he is the best point guard in the draft.

I strongly agree. From four-star recruit to lottery selection, the Hamilton, Canada native showed he has the potential to be great.
