Kentucky Forward Jarred Vanderbilt is Staying in the 2018 NBA Draft

Kentucky freshman forward Jarred Vanderbilt is keeping his name in the 2018 NBA Draft, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

Vanderbilt, a 6-foot-9 forward, spent most of his lone season at Kentucky on the sidelines with a left foot injury. He played in just 14 career games.

The former five-star prospect and McDonald’s All-American injured his left foot during preseason workouts last fall, which kept him out of action until January 16th. Vanderbilt suffered another injury to his left foot prior to the SEC Tournament, which kept him out of action for the postseason.

Vanderbilt averaged 5.9 points and 7.9 rebounds in just 17 minutes per game.
