Kentucky Offers Five-Star Point Guard Jalen Lecque
With all signs pointing towards Ashton Hagans and Tyrese Maxey reclassifying to 2018, John Calipari has targeted his 2019-point guard. The Kentucky head coach has extended an offer to five-star point guard Jalen Lecque, per Andrew Slater.
Lecque, a 6-foot-3 guard from Arden, NC., is rated the No. 10 overall player in the 2019 class and No. 2 combo guard by 247Sports. The UK staff watched him in Dallas and Indianapolis the last two weekends.
Calipari visited Lecque during the spring recruiting period and there have been talks about a possible reclassification. It’s doubtful that happens and if he remains in the 2019 class, there’s a good chance Kentucky lands him.
In addition to Kentucky, he holds offers from Villanova, Kansas, Texas, Louisville, and Florida, among others. Check out highlights of Lecque below.
