Fort Lauderdale Offensive Tackle Jake Pope Commits to Kentucky

Mark Stoops and the Kentucky Wildcats rolled a Yahtzee on Wednesday evening.


Jake Pope, a three-star offensive tackle from Fort Lauderdale (FLA.), announced his commitment to Kentucky via his Twitter account. UK quarterback commit Nik Scalzo hinted at the commitment on Big Blue Insider Wednesday evening.

Pope is the 104th best offensive tackle in the Class of 2019 by 247Sports. At 6-foot-7, 275-pounds, Pope has the body to play tackle in the Southeastern Conference.


In addition to the offer from Kentucky, he holds impressive offers from schools such as Illinois, Michigan State, Virginia Tech, and Cincinnati. Kentucky extended an offer after the blue/white spring game in April.
