Immanuel Quickley to Zion Williamson, “Come to Kentucky so we can get this championship”

Before Kentucky takes on Florida this Saturday at 8:15, Wildcat fans will have their attention focused on Spartanburg, South Carolina, for the announcement of Zion Williamson.

The high school phenom is believed to be staying in state to attend Clemson but if there is one thing everyone has learned, it is to never count out John Calipari. Fans that are counting out the Wildcats should recall the recruitment of Kevin Knox, who was believed to be heading to either Florida State or North Carolina, not Kentucky.

Williamson will announce his college choice at 8 p.m. on Saturday, just fifteen minutes prior to the Wildcats matchup on ESPN. As Saturday approaches, everyone is making a last-minute pitch to Williamson, including future UK point guard Immanuel Quickley.

In an article written by Jason Jordan of USA Today High School Sports, Quickley delivers his pitch to Zion, along with John Newman (Clemson signee), Tre Jones (Duke signee), Colby White (North Carolina signee), and Steve Benjamin, the mayor of Columbia, South Carolina.

“I know you want to go to the NBA, so come to UK,” said Quickley. We will be throwing lobs off the backboard, you feel me? Getting dunks, alley-oops, all that.”

Quickley ended his clip by saying, “Come to Kentucky so we can get this championship.”
