Immanuel Quickley Named SEC Player of the Week

Kentucky’s Immanuel Quickley has been named SEC Player of the Week after his performance in wins vs. LSU and Florida last week.

The 6-foot-3, 188-pound sophomore averaged 23.5 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals and 2.5 assists in the Wildcats two wins.

Quickley began the week by scoring 21 points during a road win in Baton Rouge. He also added a career-high five assists and three steals.

 

Quickley delivered an encore performance in front of the Big Blue Nation Saturday night at Rupp Arena, dropping a career-high 26 on the Gators. He scored 22 of his points in the second half, including a 9-0 run of his own where he connected on 3 three-pointers to give the Wildcats the lead.

In the second half of both wins, the UK guard averaged 18.0 points while shooting 75 percent from the field and 71.4 percent from three-point range.
