How Nate Sestina wants Big Blue Nation to Remember him

Nate Sestina

Nate Sestina’s Kentucky career didn’t have the NCAA Tournament run it deserved but he was an instrumental piece to the Wildcats come back win at Florida in what was the season finale.

Sestina totaled 9 points and 6 rebounds in his final game for the Wildcats, including two huge second chance put backs during Kentucky’s run that erased an 18-point second half deficit.

Reports are the NCAA is unlikely to grant winter sports an extra year of eligibility which means Sestina’s college career is complete. He wants the Big Blue Nation to remember him for one thing.

“I want to be remembered as a good person,” Sestina said on the “Behind Kentucky Basketball” podcast Friday. “I want to leave behind that on and off the court I represented myself, my family and the University of Kentucky really well. Just somebody that you can trust and rely on and somebody that you could come up and talk to.”
