The Kentucky Wildcats won their 1,000th career SEC regular season game Saturday at Rupp Arena, a 76-67 victory vs. the Alabama Crimson Tide.
The Wildcats, who have now won four straight games since their two losses in Las Vegas, shot a scorching 60 percent from the three-point line. While Kentucky knocked down 9 three-point field goals (second most this season, 10 vs. Lamar), Alabama made a season low four three-point shots.
Once again, it was Kentucky’s veterans that set the tone in another big SEC win. Ashton Hagans fell an assist and rebound short of a triple-double with 15 points while Immanuel Quickley connected on 5-of-6 three pointers to lead all scorers with 19 points.
Nick Richards controlled the paint again for Kentucky by scoring 13 points and grabbing 11 rebounds to record his seventh double-double of the season.
