Kentucky improved to 17-5 (7-2 SEC) with an 80-72 victory vs. Mississippi State in front 20,115 fans at Rupp Arena last night.
The Wildcats bounced back from their loss at Auburn last weekend and ended Mississippi State’s five game SEC win streak.
Kentucky was led by Nick Richards, who scored 25 of his career high 27 points in the second half.
Sophomore Immanuel Quickley reached double figures for the eleventh consecutive game, scoring 21 points. He was a perfect 14-of-14 from the free throw line, tying a single game UK record for made free throws without a miss.
E.J. Montgomery had one of his best games as a Wildcat, totaling 12 points, 8 rebounds and a career high three steals.
