Four-Star Michael Drennen Joins Kentucky’s 2020 Class

Michael Drennen

Mark Stoops and the Kentucky football program added a major talent on Wednesday.

Four-star wide receiver/running back Michael Drennen II announced his commitment to Kentucky.

Kentucky hoped to have Drennen sign during the early signing period in December but he wanted to take more visits. However, those visits never occurred and two months later, the do it all athlete is a member of Kentucky’s historic 2020 class.

The Dublin, OH., native is rated the 246th overall player and 6th all-purpose back in the 247 Sports 2020 rankings. Rivals ranks him the 210th best player in their rankings.

Drennen chose Kentucky over offers from Florida, LSU, Ohio State, Michigan, Georgia, USC and Notre Dame, among others.

Devon Williams, Drennen’s high school teammate, committed to Kentucky as a member of the 2021 class last week.
