Former Wildcat Evan White had a big night at the plate: First baseman hit 2nd career HR

Evan White is already becoming a star for the Everett Aquasox, as the former Kentucky Wildcat had another big night at the plate on Saturday.

White, the No. 17 pick in this summers MLB Draft, reached base four times vs. the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes. White went 3-for-4 at the plate with 3 RBI.

The first baseman got his night started with a line drive single to center in the bottom of the 1st inning. White’s big inning came in the bottom of the 3rd, as the Aquasox scored all 8 of their runs in the bottom of the frame. During his second at bat, White belted a 2-run home run, which scored Joseph Rosa. Later in the inning, White drove in a run with a single to the third baseman, his second hit of the inning and his third RBI. White also included a walk in the bottom of the 8th.

White raised his average to .219 through 10 games with the Aquasox. The 3rd inning home run was his second as a professional and he now has 7 RBI through 32 at bats.
