The First NET Rankings of the 2019-2020 Season

The first NET rankings of the 2019-2020 college basketball season were released on Monday and the Kentucky Wildcats check in at No. 58.

The NET is the primary ranking system that replaced the RPI. The system relies on strength of schedule, game results, location, margin of victory, net offensive and defensive efficiency and the quality of wins and losses.

Kentucky’s next three opponents are all ranked ahead of them in the first NET rankings. Utah is No. 54, Ohio State No. 1 and Louisville No. 8.

According to the rankings, Kentucky is 280th in strength of schedule. The Wildcats do have a Quadrant 1 win vs. Michigan State (No. 29).
