Evansville beat Kentucky and got paid to do it

If Kentucky’s 67-64 loss to Evansville wasn’t bad enough, the Wildcats paid the Purple Aces to do what they did.

Tuesday nights game was a buy game, which means Kentucky paid Evansville $90,000 to play.

It’s the first home loss against a non-Power-5 opponent since Kentucky’s loss to VMI in 2008. The Wildcats were coached then by Billy Gillispie.

Kentucky doesn’t take the floor again until Monday, November 18th against Utah Valley State.
