Eli Brown Tweets about his Time at Kentucky

Kentucky football has been riding a wave of positive news the last couple of months but the program received some unfortunate news on Friday evening when it was announced that linebacker Eli Brown will transfer.

Brown, a native of Bowling Green, Ky., started five games for the Wildcats in 2017, filling in for the injured Jordan Jones. He ranked fifth on the team in tackles (38), including two for a loss.

Brown’s decision to transfer is a blow to the depth of Kentucky’s weakside linebacker position, as he would’ve been an experienced player for the defense. Expect Jamar “Boogie” Watson and Jamin Davis to receive plenty of snaps in 2018.

There is no word on why Brown has decided to transfer but he definitely isn’t bitter about his time with the Big Blue Nation. Brown tweeted the following tweet about his decision to transfer and his time spent in Lexington.
