Dontaie Allen Participated in Practice Wednesday

John Calipari started his day by delivering some bad news to the Big Blue Nation.

Wednesday morning, Calipari announced that senior forward Nate Sestina will miss approximately four weeks with a broken left wrist he suffered in practice Tuesday.

“It’s unfortunate but it’s part of what we do,” Calipari said. “He just fell. It’s his left wrist, it’s not his right. He may be out three weeks, he may be out four. I’m hoping the shorter but I’m not going to rush him. They even said maybe two and I’m like, ‘Stop.’”

While Calipari will make sure Sestina is ready before he returns to the floor, one Wildcat did make his practice debut Wednesday.

Calipari told the media that freshman wing Dontaie Allen participated in practice.

“Dontaie played a little halfcourt today,” Calipari said. “He moved great, but he played some halfcourt.”

Good to see Allen is working his way back. Kentucky can use all the help they can get right now, especially with bodies in practice.
