JUCO DB D.J. Daniel Adds Offer from Kentucky

Kentucky has extended a scholarship offer to D.J. Daniels, a cornerback from Georgia Military Junior College. On Thursday, Mark Stoops and defensive coordinator Matt House extended the offer. This comes three days after receiving an offer from South Carolina.

Additionally, Daniel (6-foot, 185-pounds) holds offers from East Carolina, Georgia State, Louisiana Lafayette, and South Alabama. He told The State on Wednesday that the Gamecocks would have to be No. 1 on his list, calling it a dream to play in the SEC. It will be interesting to see if the UK offer changes that.

One thing working for South Carolina and Will Muschamp is Daniel’s teammate, Devontae Davis, is already committed to the Gamecocks for 2019. As a freshman, he totaled 26 tackles, three interceptions, five pass breakups and three blocked kicks.

Daniel will visit Kentucky June 8-9.
