Devin Booker and Karl-Anthony Towns Together in the NBA would be Fun to Watch

Reports surfaced Friday evening that Karl-Anthony Towns and the Minnesota Timberwolves are having issues getting on the same page.

ESPN’s Zach Lowe said on The Lowe Post that Towns and the Timberwolves are “not in a good place internally.” Joining Lowe in that report was ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, who added that Towns could come up in trade discussions.

“I don’t think Anthony Davis is going anywhere any time soon,” Windhorst said. “But Karl Towns…now that might be a different story.”

One NBA player and former teammate of Towns offered what he thinks should happen. Former Wildcat Devin Booker, who played with Towns at Kentucky during the 2014-2015 season, tweeted the eyes emoji to say he is keeping a close eye on the situation. Booker currently plays for the Phoenix Suns, who own the first pick in the upcoming NBA Draft. Reports are that the Suns are willing to part ways with the No. 1 pick.

Booker didn’t stop with his first tweet, and his second one was the best. Booker tweeted a picture of KAT in a Phoenix Suns Devin Booker jersey. Can you imagine those two reunited in Phoenix with Tyler Ulis?

Just an opinion, but I highly doubt the Timberwolves part ways with Towns. The former No. 1 pick is just scratching the surface of his potential. If you’re Minnesota, you do everything possible to make that work. However, it’s definitely a situation to monitor with the NBA Draft and free agency approaching.
