Kentucky Senior DE/LB Denzil Ware to Transfer from Kentucky

Denzil Ware is transferring to another school for his final season of college football. Ware announced the decision on Twitter Thursday afternoon.

Ware was suspended for last season’s Music City Bowl due to a violation of team rules and no information was ever made public about the reasons why. When spring practice kicked off, Mark Stoops said he was a full participant and everything was good to go. Ware wrote a message to the Big Blue Nation, thanking the fans, coaches, and his teammates for the last three years at Kentucky.

It’s a significant loss for Matt House and the defense, but Kentucky has young, talented pieces that will now receive more playing time in the fall. Look for Josh Paschal and Boogie Watson to have more a significant role this season. Ware will graduate from UK this spring and will be immediately eligible to play as a grad transfer.
