DeAndre Square Enjoyed his Trip to the 606 for High School Football

The Kentucky football team used last weeks bye week as an opportunity to rest and heal nagging injuries. Some players even used the free weekend as a chance to visit areas of the state they had never seen before.

Sophomore linebacker DeAndre Square got his first experience of the 606 area code, as he was in Hazard to watch the Somerset and Hazard football game last Friday. Square saw the matchup was the game of the week and wanted to attend.

Curtis Burch of the UK Sports Network caught up with Square following practice this week to talk about his trip to Hazard.

“I went to Hazard for the Hazard and Somerset game,” said Square. “I went down there and I was able to get the Duke of Hazard. It was nice to see people out there that was excited to see a player that plays for UK to just come down there.”

Square’s first trip to eastern Kentucky was a good one and he could feel the love during his visit.

“You can definitely feel the love down there in that part of Kentucky. You could tell they love UK and I just felt the love. Never really felt that before.”

WYMT also caught up with Square during his visit last Friday. You can check that out at there website here:
