Dan Mullen was the Only Coach to Vote for Kentucky in the Coaches Poll

Dan Mullen

The Kentucky football team finished the 2019 regular season with a 7-5 overall record and a fourth consecutive season the Wildcats will be playing a football game after Christmas.

After starting the season 2-3 and suffering injuries to the top two quarterbacks on the depth chart, junior wide receiver Lynn Bowden stepped in at quarterback. You know the how that played out.

Bowden rushed his way to the Paul Hornung Award (most versatile player in college football) and into the 2020 NFL draft.

While Kentucky only finished two games above .500 on the season, one college football coach has a lot of respect for what Mark Stoops and his football team accomplished.

In the final Amway Coaches Poll of the 2019 college football regular season, Florida coach Dan Mullen included Kentucky in his top 25 poll. Mullen placed Kentucky at No. 23. The vote is the only one the Wildcats received in the poll.
