On Monday, D.J. Jeffries decided to back out of his verbal commitment to Kentucky.
The decision was surprising and not expected, even though most thought Memphis could eventually convince him to flip his commitment. The Tigers and Penny Hardaway are the likely landing spot for the four-star forward.
Jeffries father, Corey Jeffries, had some interesting comments about the UK coaching staff during his appearance on ESPN Radio Memphis.
DJ Jeffries' father @CoreyJeffries10 on our show: "We talked with Kentucky (about the decision to de-commit), and it kinda shocked me. They were kinda unprofessional. They didn't handle the news the way I expected them to handle it, being professionals."

Jeffries is the first player to back out of commitment to Kentucky since John Calipari has been head coach.
