John Calipari and the Kentucky Wildcats have picked up their first commitment for the 2019 class as four-star forward D.J. Jeffries has announced he will attend Kentucky.

Jeffries, a 6-7, 185lbs small forward, is ranked the No. 26 player nationally and No. 1 in Mississippi for 2019 class by 247Sports. Jeffries didn’t disappoint when Calipari watched him play last Tuesday as he finished with 20 points on 8-of-21 shooting in his teams 71-50 win. He added five rebounds, five blocks, and three assists in front of the UK coach.

Jeffries is close friends with fellow 2019 UK target James Wiseman, who could reclassify to the 2018 class. Jeffries chose Kentucky over Alabama, and Mississippi State.
