Cole Anthony’s Comments Sound Positive for Kentucky

Kentucky commit Tyrese Maxey has been actively recruiting other 2019 talents to join him at Kentucky.

In addition to James Wiseman and Keion Brooks, Maxey has also targeted Cole Anthony, his team USA teammate.

Anthony is the son of former NBA player and current CBS Sports analyst Greg Anthony. Anthony is one of the best players in the 2019 class. He is considered to be a Duke lean but a UK offer would make things interesting.

According to TJ Walker of KSR, Anthony would like to play with Maxey at the college level.

“Man, I love Tyrese,” Anthony said. “He’s a high-energy guy. He’s always smiling. I love Tyrese. That’s my dude, I’d love to play with him at the next level.”

Despite no offer from Kentucky, Maxey has mentioned Anthony’s name multiple times this spring. John Calipari was in attendance for a 128-26 victory by the USA on Monday and it wouldn’t be surprising if Anthony picks up an offer in the near future.

“Down at the Final Four we talked a lot then,” Maxey said. “He’s really cool. He’s high energy. He’s very high energy and he’s always up. He’s a good friend to be around.”
