Kentucky women’s basketball signee Blair Green has been named a finalist for Miss Kentucky Basketball, an award given to the states best player following the season.
The Harlan County senior signed with Kentucky during the November signing period and just recently surpassed 3,000 points and 1,000 rebounds for her high school career.
Green is rated a four-star prospect and a top ten wing in the 2018 class. She ranks in the top five in the state in scoring with over 26 points per game and top three in free throw percentage, shooting north of 86 percent.
Ten Miss Kentucky Basketball winners have gone on to play at the University of Kentucky, including current junior guard Maci Morris, who won the award in 2015. Green will look to add her name to the list while trying to lead the Black Bears to the schools first Sweet Sixteen appearance.
