Billy Gillispie has returned to Division I college basketball coaching after spending the last few years coaching at Ranger Junior College.
Gillispie will be the new head men’s basketball coach at Tarleton State University, who will be transitioning to Division I on July 1st.
The former Kentucky head coach agreed to a four-year contract with the Texans through the 2024 season.
“Wow, what a blessing,” Gillispie said in a press release by the university. “I’ve always believed I have been the luckiest man alive and today continues to illustrate that thought.”
