Benny Snell is Ranked the No. 12 Running Back by Athlon Sports
Kentucky junior running back Benny Snell is ranked amongst the best running backs in college football.
Athlon Sports released their top 50 running backs list heading into the 2018 season. The UK running back was positioned just outside the top ten at No. 12.

12. Benny Snell
With Kentucky’s offense breaking in a new quarterback, Snell should expect another heavy workload in 2018. After rushing for 1,091 yards and 13 touchdowns as a freshman in 2016, Snell improved on those totals last fall. Over 13 games, Snell rushed for 1,333 yards and 19 touchdowns. Snell leads the way among returning backs in the SEC.
The only SEC running back to be ranked higher than Snell is Alabama’s Damien Harris at No. 8. I’m sure you remember that Harris chose the Tide over Kentucky in 2014.
One fan tweeted Snell and mentioned that he should be top five on the list. Benny agreed with that.
