Members of the Kentucky football team will be in attendance for tonight’s Kentucky vs. Georgia basketball game at Rupp Arena.
The Wildcats closed 2019 with a Belk Bowl championship but since the university was on holiday break, there hasn’t been a chance to recognize the team during a men’s basketball game.
Tonight, the Belk Bowl champs will be introduced to the crowd.
The football team earning recognition during basketball games has become a tradition the last two years. Twice, the team has been announced and honored for winning the Governor’s Cup over Louisville and last January they were recognized for winning the Citrus Bowl.
