Ashton Hagans Praised Nick Richards for his Performance in the 2nd Half

Kentucky sophomore guard Ashton Hagans missed Saturday’s win vs. Florida due to personal reasons, according to head coach John Calipari.

While Hagans didn’t make the trip to Gainesville, it didn’t stop him from showing how much he truly cares about his teammates.

The UK guard celebrated and pulled for his teammates in Lexington, posting videos throughout and after the Wildcats 18-point comeback victory.

The story last week was Hagans and teammate Nick Richards arguing on the court during the Wildcats loss to Tennessee. The situation, along with Hagans refusing to check into the game when Calipari told him to, caused some concern around Big Blue Nation.

Hagans showed love for his teammate on Saturday, who was dominant in the Wildcats second half surge. Richards finished with 19 points, to go along with a game-high 7 rebounds. The junior scored 17 of his points in the second half.
