Kentucky freshman guard Ashton Hagans is this weeks SEC Freshman of the week after a dominant defensive performance vs. North Carolina.
Hagans, a 6-foot-3 guard from Cartersville, Ga., tied a UK single game record with 8 steals vs. the Tar Heels. Additionally, he added 7 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists in an 80-72 victory.
Hagans is the third SEC Freshman of the Week honor for Kentucky and second consecutive. Keldon Johnson has received the honor twice this season.
