What Anthony Davis is doing is unbelievable

Stop me if you’ve heard this before but Anthony Davis did something spectacular Tuesday night vs. the Los Angelas Clippers.

The Pelicans forward and former Kentucky Wildcat has been on a tear over the last month and was named the Western Conference Player of the Month for the month of February. Davis has done a lot over the last month, averaging 35.0 points and 10.0 rebounds in February but what he did Tuesday night might be the most impressive.

Davis suffered an injury when he made contact with the Clippers DeAndre Jordan during the second quarter. Davis immediately grabbed his left rib area and made his way to the locker room, where he appeared to be in a lot of discomfort. Ultimately, it was ruled a rib contusion and Davis returned to the floor to start the second half.

When he exited the game, he had 10 points and four rebounds but he exploded with 31 points in the second half to lead the Pelicans to their ninth consecutive victory. Davis added 13 rebounds, 3 steals, 3 blocks, and two assists to his stat line.

If Davis continues to score 40+ points on his way to leading the Pelicans to a top-four seed in the Western Conference, MVP voters will have a hard time not considering him. It’s remarkable what he has done since DeMarcus Cousins suffered a season-ending Achilles injury.
