Anthony Davis and Rajon Rondo are a Perfect Match in NOLA

Anthony Davis picked up his first series victory of his NBA playoff career on Saturday after the New Orleans Pelicans swept the Portland Trail Blazers.

Davis set a new franchise playoff single game record with 47 points on 15-of-24 shots, including 15-of-17 made free throws. Additionally, he added 11 rebounds, and three blocks.

Davis wasn’t the only former Wildcat having fun on Saturday, as Rajon Rondo continued to be a magician with the basketball. He scored 7 points, but dished out a game-high 16 assists while collecting seven rebounds. Former Wildcat Darius Miller added three points in 23 minutes of action.

In his first 8 playoff games of his career, Davis has scored 35, 26, 29, 36, 28, 22, 35, and 47 points. He had double digit rebounds in seven of those games.

The best play of the game was this connection between Rondo and Davis in the first half.
