Anthony Davis and Rajon Rondo Lead Pelicans to Playoff Win

Anthony Davis

The New Orleans Pelicans were able to pull out a tough, hard-fought win vs. the Portland Trail Blazers in game one of the Western Conference Playoffs. Anthony Davis and Rajon Rondo had their Kentucky connection working in Portland as both posted big nights to lead the Pelicans to a win.

Seeking his first career playoff win, Davis was the star of the show with a game-high 35 points, 14 rebounds, and four blocks. His MVP level performance from the regular season carried over and the Trail Blazers had no answer for him. He connected on 14-of-26 shots during a team-high 40 minutes played.

Davis had plenty of help from Rondo, who dished out a game-high 17 assists to go along with 8 rebounds. Additionally, he added six points on 3-of-9 shooting.
