2019 Five-Star Guard will Make his Second Trip to Lexington

Five-star point guard Tyrese Maxey will be in attendance for Kentucky’s game vs. Alabama on Saturday, as the Wildcats will look to end a recent four game losing streak.

According to Corey Evans of Rivals, the five-star guard will be in Lexington for an unofficial visit this weekend. Maxey is rated the No. 2 point guard in the 2019 class.

The South Garland High School guard will make his second trip to Lexington, after visiting for Big Blue Madness earlier this season. Following that first visit, he picked up an offer from John Calipari, who recently watched Maxey during the Wildcats trip to Texas A&M.

Maxey is a priority for Kentucky, as he was the first 2019-point guard to receive an offer from the Wildcats. SMU, where his father is the program’s Director of Recruiting, is believed to be Kentucky’s stiffest competition to land Maxey.
